Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
Peereddi I was totally surprised at how great this film. You could feel your paranoia rise as the film went on and as you gradually learned the details of the real situation.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
jotix100 When one first meets Judith, she is being fired from her job as a nurse in a Parisian hospital. Her superior has come to the conclusion her behavior is not exactly what is expected of a competent nurse. Judith puts no resistance, she is resigned to accept her being sacked. She realizes at the last moment, she was to meet her husband Roland, a big opera fan, for a performance that same night.Judith does not come clean about not working at the hospital. Roland has a bad feeling about her and begins tailing his wife as she goes to different parts of the city, first looking for work, and then having attained a certain notoriety by what appears to be word of mouth, by going to different terminal patients facing difficult decisions. Roland is horrified and repulsed by what he sees, especially when he thought Judith was working as a prostitute."Rendez-vous avec un ange" directed jointly by Yves Thomas and Sophie Daruvar dares to take the thorny issue of euthanasia with mixed results. One can see Judith's good intentions, but the issue is a thorny one, not quite convincingly developed in the film. The relationship between Judith and Roland is not a solid one. It crumbles after Judith is found to be the person behind the deaths at the hospital. Roland's role is that of a 'peeping Tom', following Judith everywhere, yet not making an appearance, not even questioning her actions until it is already too late.Isabelle Carre's Judith is dignified. She is that angel for the people in need she is asked to assist in a dignified death. Sergi Lopez, an otherwise good actor, has not much to do in the film.
