Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Married Baby Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
thepoet21 Imagine you were an dopey, average looking young black male with no money and a crappy life and all of a sudden you had a chance to date Melyssa Ford and Mya? That fantasy is what this movie is. Throughout the movie things don't really square up; and you can't help but think that this actor who was cast as the "playa" was totally miscast. So, you can't help but think that the way this movie should have started is with this loser having some kind of accident, bumping his head, and the whole movie is his dream of him being this total stud who knocks Melyssa Ford on her big beautiful booty and gets her whipped. Then he becomes the focus of both beautiful Mya and Melyssa Ford! He gets to call the shots, gets to pick and choose and gets to be the man, not a punk! Now, if you can withstand watching this twit be the "mack", you are left with a predictable ending you could care less about. In the end, you will wake up after having been bored to sleep, or in my re-write of the script as it should have been, the main character will wake up from this utterly ridiculous fantastic wet dream that he just had.
danceability-1 Decent Movie Love for Sale. The movie was adorable and hilarious. I absolutely loved the soundtrack, but I can't find it anywhere!? I even tried looking for the individual songs, and that's difficult too. Does anyone have a clue where I can find it at? I liked this movies for it's use of new unknown actors and at first I couldn't connect the title with the plot. Although I like Mya and Jason Weaver, Clifton Powell presents some funny scenes with the only white people in the movie. The two rappers are funny too and this silly rap song they did got stuck in my head for a couple of days. Also, there is not a lot of cussing in the movie which I found refreshing. I often say so many movies can still make their point without all the cussing. I've watched this movie more than once and liked it more each time.
tommykhoury When Jason and Jackie walk into the club or whatever a song a couple songs play. The songs have tight beats and i really like them. Can any1 tell me what those songs are called please? The songs come up right before Jackie gets punched in the mouth and Jason punches someone else. I am not talking about the songs that B3 and no doubt sang. I am talking about the song played in the back round when they rolled up to the club. Please i couldn't find a soundtrack to this damn movie so if anyone could answer this i would greatly appreciate it. I will be researching until someone helps me find it. Someone help me answer this question as soon as possible i need to find out this song Thanks
http_nickysworld_net In regards to the foreclosure comment, granted this was not Star Wars or The Matrix, but it didn't really seem that low budget to me.I don't think Mia would do a movie for $50,000.Perhaps you just don't like black people in light of your black movie / budget comments, but if you weren't looking for a romantic African American comedy, you probably shouldn't have chosen to watch this movie.I don't know if it was the "Love" reference in the title, the genre listing of "comedy", or the rich caricatures within the African American community portrayed that you didn't get, but I thought the movie did an alright job in what it was intended to do.Although Melyssa Ford did an excellent job in the film, particularly during her emotional breakdown scene, I think this movie offers more to look at than just the women as you put it.Lastly, I think it is exactly because the black film industry is not exactly overflowing with new releases, that efforts such as these should be lauded, without having to be compared to 90's movie clichés.http://nickysworld.net
