Highly Overrated But Still Good
Murphy Howard
I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

Okay, this is not as good as Zatoichi. It's not as good as Crimson Bat. But, it is better than Rutger Haur's Blind Vengance. The film is shot on video and has fairly decent special effects despite that. It is fairly well directed and well-paced...However, that being said, the characters are uninspired and non-charismatic. There's a Wolverine (from X-Men) knock-off and someone who likes to throw steel balls around. It should be more exciting than it is...But, for an evening of blind swordswoman thrills, if you cannot find Zatoichi or one of the four Crimson Bat movies. This will certainly kill seventy-six minutes for ya...
