John Schneider's Collier & Co.: Hot Pursuit! Trailers

J.R. Collier, once the world's greatest race driver, is losing his family because he can't get racing out of his blood. His scheme to "go legit" by acquiring and reselling exotic cars -- cars he acquires by suckering the owners into racing for the pink slip -- runs afoul of the bad guys when he wins one car that has something in it that they will kill for.

Reviews
Interesteg What makes it different from others?
WasAnnon Slow pace in the most part of the movie.
StunnaKrypto Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Dave S. I have to say that there is nothing wrong with low budget films, so that was not my problem with it. My problem with it is that I felt like I was watching my next door neighbor's home movie. IMO everything about it just seemed like a guy wrote out a quick story, grabbed a camera, and started shooting. I understand how hard this must be to do effectively, but when I pay to rent a film, I expect to feel like I am watching some type of professionally made movie.John Schneider has a huge resume, is a great actor, and was fine in this film. The other people in it were not. I understand how it must be fun, and cheaper to use friends, and relatives as the cast, but it doesn't make for convincing acting. It seemed like the way it was shot, he was trying to give many of the scenes a more interesting look, but when the writing, plot, and acting are there to begin with, that type of style isn't necessary, and it is a distraction. Also on a technical level, it had digital artifacts all over the place. In the first scene of all of those fine cars, when they did a slow scan of them, they appeared to jerk back and forth just a little bit. The problem isn't in my viewing equipment, (Benq PE-8700 84" diagonal) but somewhere in the production. I've never seen that kind of artifact in a professionally made film before. Then there was the sound. It sounded like they didn't do any voice-overs, which may be o.k. unless it sounded like the track in this film. It sounded like the built in microphone on the camera.
dkworrell I have seen this movie at an opening that John attended. I loved the movie. John did a great job in bringing a family movie to the big screens. We need more movies like this. It was a fun movie. If you are NOT a Dukes of Hazzard fan, you will still enjoy this movie. I don't want to give too much of it away. For those of you reading this and are a Dukes fans, you will especially enjoy all the Dukes reference you'll see and hear. It brought back lots of memories. For kids, I would take my kids to see it. Again, it's a fun movie, has clean comedy in it, fast cars and great acting. I especially loved the ending. Well done John! I'd like to thank John for this wonderful movie and having the chance to met him, his wife Elly, his mother Shirley and all the promoters, Phyllis, Breet, and Allen. It was a wonderful night and a great movie. I will see it again.
kimvail I saw Collier and Co. in Franklin TN on March 10th. John made an appearance but was late and he waited until everyone had seen him and gotten autographs and pictures before he let them start the movie. That alone says how great of a guy he is. He watched the movie with us and we had a great time, the young and the old. He was very sweet to everyone. It says a lot about him that he personally fund this movie. I do believe that Hollywood will be sorry that they didn't pick this movie up. This is what good family entertainment should be about. If it comes to your area, please take the time to go and watch it. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely purchase the DVD when it comes out. A very great movie!!!!
needacupotea John Schneider succeeded in doing what he set out to do and that was to create a movie that will appeal to moviegoers of all ages. The movie is quite entertaining and has a decent plot. If you expect a family movie that is so sugary sweet that anyone over the age of five won't be able to tolerate it, then you are in for a pleasant surprise. It is a well-written story with a little something for everyone. A definite must for all John Schneider fans and a good place to start for all those looking for a refreshing change of pace. They say the family that plays together stays together - with all the family members and friends that are part of the cast, you know the Schneider clan is a very cohesive unit. If you are a Dukes fan, you'll enjoy the stunts and the racing scenes.
