Reviews
Stevecorp Don't listen to the negative reviews
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Kien Navarro Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Catherina If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
gridoon Yes, Teri Hatcher enjoys some nice gun action in this movie, and when her character is allowed to be strong, she has moments where she takes your breath away. But she is too often forced to utter unrealistic (under the circumstances) wisecracking dialogue (like in the scene where she first meets Rob Lowe), or even more painful "serious" - "emotional" dialogue. Another reviewer said that she sucks as a mother, but personally I feel she should get some kind of Best Mother award just for never attempting to kill her son with her bare hands, because he really is an obnoxious jerk. As for the movie itself, the unusual device of dropping the viewer right into the middle of the action grips you at first, but then the script starts piling on the stupid plot twists. All in all, a passable techno-thriller. (**)
Eric-117 The plot is, from beginning to end, so mind-bogglingly ridiculous that you might suspect it was deliberate - but the dialog is fantastic, and Teri Hatcher is an absolute joy - Desperate Housewives is no fluke. In this movie she grabs her role and runs with it, never flinching amidst the madness - whether making sarcastic remarks or threatening with a gun, she is absolutely 100%, and she makes the movie pure joy. Trevor Blumas, who showed a sly, subtle talent for comedy in Prom Queen, is a match for Hatcher here. Rob Lowe counts as part of the ridiculous plot, but he does no harm. Set aside any demands for sense or logic, and enjoy the ride - a bit like Cellular, but on the trashy side - and that's a good thing!
acearms Okay, now the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency, (that's an oxymoron itself)) is framing Jane Doe(or is it the company that's doing it?), but then her 17 year old son is a DIA operative in the company and her ex-husband is a DIA agent. Bad guys in the company she works for are into selling secrets to foreign agents, so she reveals happenings about this and is fired for doing so, then is set up by insiders in the company to cover up the killing of the company president. Now the DIA is in cahoots with the company big wigs from the get go, but makes out like it is trying to catch the company VIPs in the act of transferring the secret stuff. Next the DIA boss wants to kill her DIA agent husband because who knows why and also wants to take out she and her son. DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SENSE? A movie you definitely will want to miss.
mooncrickit This is a fast paced movie right out of the gate. The movie starts off with Hatcher being forced to move from one spot to another to rescue her kidnaped son making you feel like you came into the middle of the movie. Don't worry, you'll be brought up to speed although it takes about half the flick to do so. This movie reminds me of the t.v. series "24" because this entire movie seems to take place all in one day. The actors never had to change their clothes so I guess that must have helped out on the wardrobe budget. There is a toilet scene in this movie which is not only funny at the time, but it also provides some further comic relief several times later on. Although some of the plot was a little inconsistent, overall this was a pretty entertaining fast paced flick.
