SivakumarBalachandran Irumbu Kuthirai (2014) Review: (press "see more" to read full review)The story of "Irumbu Kuthirai" should revolve around Bikes, Bike riders, passionate towards bikes and racing if it had been executed on the right track and right pace. Having an interesting plot the movie eventually fails to entertain the audience because of a weak screen play and a poor editing in the first half. The movie had a good cast but was not utilized to the correct potential many characters were merely appearing without a grip to the story. The charming Atharvaa Murali as Prithvi aka Micheal Prithvi as a timid biker in the first half and a racy biker in the second half doesn't show much of justice to the change over in his characterization. Priya Anand comes as the beautiful element to the story. She was looking absolutely cute gorgeous as a Barbie doll plays the love interest of Atharvaa. After Arima Nambi she is been abducted in this movie also by the antagonist. Raai lakshmi aka Lakshmi raai as the hero's child hood friend comes as a tom boyish freaky girl had a limited scope in the script except opening the flash back link of the hero. Dong lee the 7 am Arivu fame as the antagonist fails to be the same fearsome villain. Don't know what was wrong there. The movie also had plenty of support cast Devadharshini as Atharvaa's mom ?! (Hard to digest this is what called as casting trouble). Anupama kumar as Priya's aunt. Kumki father as the street racing organizer showed up in the climax. Jegan helped here and there with comedy bits in the start. The plot revolves around Pondy and at times flies to Europe for songs. Graphics was average during the bike stunts. Another major pull back was placement of songs. Overall with a good backdrop main story this Iron Horse comes too slow in the race and eventually fails to engage.-Reviewed by Balachandran Sivakumar
