In a Town This Size Trailers

In A Town This Size introduces an Oklahoma town and its long-suppressed tragedy of childhood sexual abuse. The abuser, a prominent and trusted former pediatrician is, through this film and for the first time, held accountable for the actions he cleverly perpetrated. Stories are told through poignant first-person interviews with his victims, their families and professionals. This film brings to viewers an unnerving familiarity with the lifelong devastation resulting from this kind of abuse. Covering events in the 1960s and 1970s and continuing into present times, these personal stories devastate, frustrate and inspire. In A Town This Size moves audiences to confront child sexual abuse as a primary social issue and presses for changes in state statutes of limitation.

ManiakJiggy This is How Movies Should Be Made
Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
ChicDragon It's a mild crowd pleaser for people who are exhausted by blockbusters.
Keeley Coleman The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Xony If more people had the courage to speak out about abuse the world would be a better place. It's a cycle that repeats and some people can never face it. This filmmaker has great courage in what he does. The truth exposes abusers and takes away their power. And where there is one victim there are always more. All it takes is one person to make a change for the better, and this man is one of those people. People who are abused as children often subconsciously seek out abusers as adults. It's the elephant in the room, the ugly truth everyone wants to pretend doesn't exist. I say it shouldn't be ignored any more than cancer or disease. It doesn't disappear, just hides beneath the surface of one's conscious mind, but lingers and creates havoc within the soul. I love that photos of this doctor are shown too. Abusers threaten in any way possible to attempt to silence those who speak out. Thank you for not cowering to the threats.
afreidberg A true story of a prominent pediatrician and his abuse on children for decades. This film tells a horrific story of how sexual abuse can occur anywhere. Humbling, sad and yet powerful! You will be captured by the interviews of these victims and their families. A roller coaster of emotions you will empathize with these individuals as you see the hurt and pain and then the triumph of coming through the ordeal later in life with counseling and much healing by telling their stories. You will learn that we have too many laws protecting perpetrators in society and that changes have to be made in state legislations. After you have seen this presentation you will certainly understand that ALL adults have a responsibility to listen to any child and report any strange behavior to authorities. Protecting our children is our responsibility. We cannot look the other way and think to ourselves that it is not our business. Our children are our future! An incredibly, and well told story!!
Sus8686 This film tells the truth of the sexual abuse that happened from a pediatrician/pedophile from my hometown. I watched it for the first time in my hometown in a different building but on the same land that use to have an elementary school building, where the film maker attended grade school and that would have been the time his abuse was going on. The film maker was destine to do this film. It is very well done with unedited interviews with those involved, how they became involved with this pedophile or how he went about getting a place in their lives. It shows how some individuals dealt with the scars left from his abuse. It lets the victims tell their own story. The victims finally get a voice.
