Desertman84 He Was Cool is a Korean romantic comedy about a relationship that started from a kiss. Having replied to a wicked post on her school website, Ye-won keeps getting a threatening call from a boy named Ji Eun-sung. Having heard about him from her friend, she keeps running away from him. But they kissed accidentally when Ye-won was trying to escape from him. Having his lips stolen by Ye-won, Eun-sung threatens her to marry him, adding that no other girl has ever kissed him before. The only thing Ye-won can do is to obey for whatever Eun-sung said. At first, Ye-won just hate him the most for his self-righteousness and unreasonableness. But she gradually finds herself is starting to fall for him.This movie should have been just an average movie but Song Seung-Heon made it an excellent film.Song is really a talented actor.He can do drama,comedy,action and probably any role given to him. Watch him in his other works such as the Korean drama, Summer Scents, and his other movies such as Calla,which is one of the best Korean films I have ever seen.

Movie/TV watcher When does anyone fall in love with someone? This amazing story explains the love a young man has for a girl - and the trouble life can throw at you if you miss any slight chance to express yourself...as another - his best friend - also falls hard for the same girl! (Also a triangle between girls - is shockingly real) I don't understand the workings of Korean gangs (or any gangs actually)...but very intense life. The conflict is amazing between the two friends, and the growth to a deeper friendship is so raw, and felt true.The subtitles are clear and easy to read - so I hope you take the opportunity and watch this well written, and truly amazing story of young love.

isabelita_mergara16 this movie is amazing!!! it'll have you laughing your head off and at the same time it'll touch your heart. really, i can't help but think. you know surely there is a certain soft side for every bad boy round the block. and all it takes to tame that one guy is for him to have his ideal girl. right? in the movie, he does have trouble expressing his feelings for her. but when opportunity comes knocking, he really is sugary sweet. you can't help but be awed by his sweetness and love for her. the most touching scene is when, he worked at night lifting bricks --- just to get her a present. like wow! the movie is downright funny, especially the first few scenes. like hello? imagine yourself running down the city streets... your head is still a huge jungle of salon wachamacallits!

sundae_245 he was cool, another movie from Korea that involves a teenage boy who can fight and a somewhat sassy girl.however, that being said this was a really funny and cute story, i wasn't expecting much but i found myself throughly enjoying this movie. the storyline isn't anything new, but i really fell in love with the characters.if you liked my tutor friend you'd probably enjoy this movie too, however i hated my sassy girl (especially CD 1, could that have been a bigger waste of my time?), and i know there is a huge fan base for my sassy girl out there, so watch this movie and judge for yourself.4/5 ****
