This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

This was a fantastic spoof taking names and ideas from nighttime soaps such as Dynasty and Dallas. Carol Burnett and Charles Grodin played the main roles, and were absolutely fantastic. To see Carol Burnett as a "drunk" is always fun. I like how they made the last name of the "wealthy" family Kinsington; which compares to Carrington in Dynasty. They also used such names as Tallon; which compares to Fallon in Dynasty and I really thought that Billy Jo and Bobby Jo Bob having the same middle name was great.I have an original copy which I taped off of the TV before having satellite TV, so it is fuzzy and sound is not so great. I'd love to get a new copy and would be ecstatic if you burned it on a DVD. I'd pay for the DVD, your time, shipping, etc. Please E-Mail me at Roboteach3@tds.net if you have anymore copies, or are willing to make anymore; whether on VHS or DVD.Thanx so much, Jamie

Normally parodies don't age well and become dated, but this one just keeps on giving, with quotes like."Blech, these grapes tastes like Fresno".Billy Joe Bob (idiot) to court appointed (female) attorney, "I just want my wife to stay home, cook my food and have babies, you know, to be in her place. You can understand that, can't you ma'am?".Same idiot, "Dang it, we shouldn't have killed Martha, we should have killed Kane" - (I'm not going to explain this one, just trust me, I'm laughing right now just thinking about it ... 19 years later.).And lastly, never for get, "No, I hadn't thought of that .... until now!".I would pay between $50 and $100 bucks for this one on DVD (a legit copy, that is).

I have a two VHS set of tapes of FRESNO that appear to have been distributed by "Terry Blood Distribution" out of England (licensed by MTM).Now - I found this on Ebay of all places and was quite surprised to find that they were commercial reproductions. Quality is fair to mediocre but all the comedy is there. There have been some DVD's listed but I'm sure they are either fan-produced or copies of tapes like these.Since there is a ten line minimum for comments I'll add that this version has no laugh track as has been mentioned on some of the rebroadcast versions.Personally, the comedy is more apparent when the laugh track is omitted since this was never shot as a stage performance.

This soap spoof is really the best I've ever seen. For a distracted viewer, it would have appeared as a genuine soap with idiotic plots to catch your attention. The cast, especially Carol Burnett and Dabney Coleman, were really "into" their roles. Torch is the epitome of the "pool boy" type of character you always find in the Dallas/Dynasty kind of series. I wish I could get my hands (and eyes'n'ears) on a copy of this "mini" as it is referred to.
