Frank Trailers

A young urban family spends summers on an idyllic island. When an abandoned, mangy mutt wanders onto the property, the dad alerts Animal Control - but the children beg to keep the dog. A compromise is reached: the kids can nurse FRANK back to health, but must put him up for adoption when summer is over. As he regains his strength, Frank risks his life to bring the family together...

ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
GrammarMatters But for the rest of us this movie is awful. I tried to watch it - I really did. I love dogs and wanted to see some cute shots of a dog - but this movie is painful to watch and frankly, not worth your time - or mine. There are just so many other movies you could spend your time and money on. Please don't waste your time with this dreck. You've been warned. This movie is almost not worth my taking the time to comment on, but why do I pan this movie? Well, it is just plain embarrassing. The movie is so full of clichés and SO much of it is just plain obvious that I'm sorry, but I have to say that if the writer and director were not creating this mess only for kindergarten age kids then they are dumber than your average dog.Sorry to be rude about the creators of this piece of junk, but if you can suffer through this waste of time of a film and have anything nice to say about this movie please post your own comment. But I suspect you too will be angry about having your time wasted. This movie is an insult to anybody with an IQ above 70.
peterj754 I bought this film for my grandkids (ages 6 and 8) for their visit this weekend, and enjoyed it as much as they did. It was beautifully filmed, it's pretty funny, the characters are believable and likable and the dog is great! By the time the kids were ready to leave, they wanted to take the movie home with them. It wasn't the usual automatic "Yes" I'd normally give: I wanted to watch it again with Grandma! Finally I let them have it and found another copy on a trip to the store. If you have younger kids and would like to really enjoy a movie with WITH them, take my advice and get this movie! I know it's going to be a long-time favorite around my house, I bet it will be at yours, too.
slickvic14 This is such a great movie!!! I have been waiting forever. I cannot wait any longer!!! My mom is going to take me and my friends to target tomorrow morning so we can by our own copy. The movie is so funny, I got to see a screening of the film. I love Frank!!! My mom and dad won't let me get a dog, but maybe after they watch this movie they might just soften up. FRANK, FRANK, FRANK, is the best dog ever!!! Jon Gries is so funny, he made me almost pee my pants. The girl from "Dan in Real Life" is in it. She is such a good actress. I heard she is in some Lifetime movie. I can't wait till tomorrow!!! FRANK, FRANK, FRANK!!!!!!!!!!!
