The trucker Fyodor Mukhin is an inveterate bachelor. Women love him, and he does not even remember everyone with whom fate brought him together. He also does not remember the teacher Masha from a small Ural town, from whom one day he receives a telegram asking him to come urgently. Something makes Fedor respond.

filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
md905-1 This is an excellent, deeply moving film about a long-lost father meeting his troubled teenage daughter. A riveting plot, superb acting, detailed character portraits, and excellent cinematography combine to pluck at your heart's strings. The scenery is rather bleak - a decrepit Russian town - but the movie manages to be uplifting all the same. Just for context, I haven't yet rated a movie a 9 or a 10, so 8 is truly my top mark.
