Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars Trailers

When the evil Scarran Empire initiates a great war, the Peacekeeper Alliance has only one hope: to reunite human astronaut John Crichton, once absorbed by the Peacekeeper galaxy through a wormhole.

Reviews
Perry Kate Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Edwin The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
Kayden This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Tweekums When season four of Farscape ended it looked as if that would be the last we were going to see of Moya and her crew despite the '... to be continued' ending. If that had been the case it would be a pretty grim conclusion as the last thing we saw was the protagonist and the woman he loved getting blasted into thousands of pieces by an unknown alien! Thankfully even though the fifth series never materialised we got this three hour miniseries to rap up most of the loose ends. After a couple of months they have been able to find all the pieces of John and Aeryn and find a Diagnosan to put them back together again. There is a small problem though; Rygel collected all the parts in his mouth and obviously didn't regurgitate them all... Aeryn's baby is now inside Rygel! It turns out the water planet they are on is the home of the Eidelons; descendants of the race of peace makers encountered in a previous episode. These ones have lost their peacemaking ability though so they agree to take one back to their ancient home to learn the lost art. Needless to say things don't go according to plan and they end up caught in a war that is raging between the Scarrans and the Peacekeepers. Before the galaxy can be safe again they will encounter old friends and enemies and Crichton will have to do something he has spent most of the series trying to avoid; creating a wormhole weapon! While it is a shame that the events shown here couldn't have been spread over a full season this miniseries still provides the conclusion that Farscape deserved and its fans demanded. Crammed into the three hours we get lots of spectacular action where regular cast members appear to be in genuine danger; there is also the usual brand of Farscape humour... sometimes the two are at the same time; seeing Aeryn blasting away with a pulse rifle as she went into labour was hilarious. It was great to see all everybody back again although not everybody was as they were before; Chiana had replaced her eyes so could see again and Sikuzo had radically changed her appearance. By the time the ending comes most of the series questions have been answered although one new one is raised... Grayza is now pregnant but there was no indication as to the father or plot reason I could see... I guess it is just one of those mysteries that keep you thinking about it after it is over! As always the acting was solid, the dialogue sharp and the action impressive... it is something for the fans though; if you've not watched Farscape before you are unlikely to figure out what is going on as no time is wasted introducing characters or their various relationships.
capra Farscape is an excellent series and I highly recommend it to all sci-fi fans. For various reasons I was not able to see the full series on TV when it was originally shown. I have recently watched series 1 to 4 and PKW on DVD and I was amazed at the first-class quality of the the series. Farscape is the best sci-fi show I have seen. The major characters were all likable, the story lines were fantastic and the FX and makeup were outstanding.I advise any newcomers to Farscape to watch it all on DVD or Blu-Ray; you won't be disappointed. Some of us yearn to travel the universe, alas it will never be. But shows like Farscape enable us to fulfill our dreams, even if only for an hour at a time. Thank you Farscape.
Lyceus I love Farscape and I'm happy they made Peacekeeper Wars so the show wouldn't end in Season 4's cliffhanger. However, I don't think the miniseries was as good as the wonderful Season 4. I guess it's just hard to tell in 3 hours what would have filled a whole new season... That's true, but there are things that still annoy me. The actors are great as usual, but a lot of good and bad things come from the writer's work.Since I've checked the spoilers option, please make sure you don't read this unless you've already seen the miniseries or you don't care about it. This comment is full of spoilers.First, let's start with what I liked: 1) It's a nice conclusion to John and Aeryn's storyline, which I wasn't sure we'd ever get. The fact that his son is named D'Argo is predictable but a nice detail in my opinion. The Peacekepper-Scarran conflict which was growing up since Season 2 was featured too.2) Great script. As usual, the writers made a good job with dialogs (Aeryn telling Rygel they'll name the baby after him if they're a girl, or the fun in Noranti's carrying a weapon).3) Jothee is back. This was a major unsolved plot and I'm glad he met D'Argo again so they stopped being enemies.4) Jool dies. I know many people won't agree but I never really liked Jool and she's the only character besides Pilot I would haven't been bothered about their death. It was nice to have her back to get killed so quickly. Now, what I didn't like: 1) Why did D'Argo have to die? He wasn't one of my favourite characters but he was important in the show and I liked him. And now Chiana is alone in this world! Why didn't they kill Pilot instead? This isn't a major flaw though, since it was obvious more people had to die and at least John and Aeryn survives.2) I don't like the fact Noranti is underused. I've just found out Melissa Jaffer had a problem with makeup and she couldn't have a larger part, so I can't blame anyone on this.3) The main flaw is how they writers wrote Sikozu's part. She was absolutely out of character! His hair was terrible but it was obviously a Scorpius influence so I'll ignore it even if I didn't recognize her at first. I can't understand why a Kalish resistance member like Sikozu would become a Scarran spy. She was so smart and loyal to the resistance! In "We're So Screwed: Part 3 (La Bomba)" she's afraid anyone would reveal anything about the resistance to the Scarran, and just two months later, she's working for the enemy. And how did the Scarrans contact her? She was in a Peacekeeper ship with Scorpius, and I'm sure he'd have noticed if she had contacted the Scarrans. She couldn't be a traitor since the beginning since she was a resistance fighter who used her powers to kill Scarrans... Still, she helped her friends to get out of the Scarran ship, so I don't know what to think about Sikozu in the miniseries. She was one of my favourite characters and they absolutely ruined her in the miniseries. I guess it's implied she dies at the end, too. Since we didn't have an actual death scene (we didn't have it for D'Argo either, but I guess he may have been too wounded), I think we can still imagine she got out of the planet. I like the Sikozu/Scorpius relationship and I don't like it ended like that. At least Braca would be happy. In conclusion, it was good but I can't forgive the writers for what they did to Sikozu... I have never seen something like that.
Jemiah I've spent a lot of time over the last few years watching the entire series run of FARSCAPE on DVD, as I haven't had cable for years and was always interested in what seemed like a smart, funny, exciting, and engaging show. I was not wrong at all - I quickly got utterly addicted, fell in love with pretty much every recurring character, and wondered how it would all end up.So of course I got the Peacekeeper Wars DVD from the video store... and I have almost never been so disappointed in all my life. I was groaning throughout most of it, and actually kept my eyes closed for large sections of it because I knew that there wouldn't be anything that was necessary for me to see. This, the culmination of a series that changed the way I look at what's possible on television, and what's possible in science fiction, and would never miss a single frame! On behalf of other Scapers, I am glad that you had a miniseries that would wrap things up for you, but I need a little bit more than long, drawn-out, repetitive gun battles, repetitions of a fact that is so incredibly important that they have to say it over and over again for about an hour, frequent violations of the established canon and the most fundamental laws of physics... I love FARSCAPE enough that I wish I had never lain eyes on this abomination, or at least I wish I'd watched it in Spanish, so I could escape the wretched, hackneyed dialogue that seemed to be written by someone who thought they knew what fans responded to. And seeing the other user comments here, apparently, they were right. But the show deserved a better, smarter, more challenging send-off than this. I'd rather have something just disappear at the height of its quality than descend into a cesspool of suck. Brian Henson, you have disappointed me yet again.
