Eye of the Astronomer Trailers

During the summer of the year 1610 one of the first telescopes made by Galileo ends up in the hands of Jean Kepler in Prague who at the time was the astronomer of Emperor Rudolp II. Kepler observes the night-sky as nobody has seen it before him. His observation platform becomes the meeting place of Prague's imperial court. In this entourage Kepler separates science from superstition, freedom from intolerance.

Reviews
Diagonaldi Very well executed
Konterr Brilliant and touching
Myron Clemons A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Martin B. Landry Very instructive film. I knew little about Kepler before sitting down at this screening, and now I know much more! Who knew that spending 10 nights looking into a telescope could be so exciting!Still, the film feels too much like a play. On screen, the actors come in and out around Kepler as they would on a stage. The director, before the projection, warned us that he tried to avoid resorting to the usual tricks of storytelling in film with this project. No love interest, no jokes, no drama other than the drama of scientific exploration! In that respect I suppose he achieved his goal, but as public we feel a bit shortchanged.
