Reviews
TeenzTen An action-packed slog
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Casey Duggan It’s sentimental, ridiculously long and only occasionally funny
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
user/ur0709940/comments dochamp-2 I bought this movie from Tai Wah Video of Singapore. I just sort of randomly picked a movie out of the bin. It was in PAL format, but I paid a company in Austin $20 to convert it to VHS for me. One of my Chinese friends watched it and said it was a stupid film. But I thought it was worth a watch. Some of the English subtitles seemed to go off the screen, nevertheless I was able to follow the story more or less. It's about model photography and a magic orb, and it takes place in some urban Chinese city (Hong Kong maybe), then later in San Francisco. The music was so-so.I like to expose myself to foreign languages and cultures - I'm not really looking for the best seller, you see. So I recommend watching this film for the foreign exposure. There's a funny goofy guy that helps break the monotony.
