NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Cortechba Overrated
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Adeel Hail Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.
Niklas Pivic This film, somehow, marks a new low in Swedish filmmaking; you have Mikael Persbrandt, playing a serial killer in his usual way of waiting--a--long--time----between--------words-to-denote-mental- problems, you have Stefan Sauk, mostly known for crying in strange places in all kinds of productions, and a slew of known Swedish actors...so, what went wrong? The film begins almost admirably, from a Swedish film perspective: the serial murderer kills and then surveys the scene, watching the people who discover the corpse, which is disposed of outdoors. After that, however, Persbrandt joins his family for a dinner where he holds some kind of speech before handing his mom a trophy. Subsequently, things go south. All dialogue is weird, there are some inexplicable dancing scenes - including even more inexplicable g-string underwear - amidst fleeting cops that should be professional but aren't, and you feel no sympathy or empathy for anybody in the film, while everything feels amateurish in the extreme. _Everything_, including the soundtrack, which is more hurtful than the murders.Still, it's a laugh. See sedated.
OJT Deadly compulsion is a psycho killer crime movie after the novel om Bo Norgren with a quite original start, where we get to know some of the thoughts and drives of the killer and his first victim, before we are sent directly to a unpleasant dinner speech where the killer explains his troubles to the entire family. A speech which isn't the easiest to forget. Before he gives his celebrating mother jewelry taken from his first victim. Then we also follow the police i their hunt for what obviously is a sick man, and a potential psycho killer. The sick killer, Andreas Persson, man has a needle in his brain, poisoning and torturing him with morbid fantasies and an urge to kill, as well as to videotape his ill-doings. The start of a serial killer which is bound to start off his killing spree. When he finally commits a murder, it's not perfect, and there is a witness. What later feels like a perfect witness, who is drawn into a deadly cat and mouse game.Michael Persbrandt does a good job depicting the troubled psycho killer Andreas Persson. We are used to see him in a role as a cop or detective, but this time it's a killer he portrays. This film is way better than it's rating, but the first half is better than the latter. The film manages to be interesting, and exciting even though we know who the killer and what his game is. Well done, and well worth a watch. One of the better Swedish crime movies I've seen.
Gabriel Falkenberg If you've seen one movie with Mikael Persbrandt you've seen them all. This movie is no exception. Bad acting, lousy plot and a strange product placement of Apple products makes this movie one of the worst I've ever seen. You don't feel anything for the characters in the movie, you just want them to be put out of their misery. They don't do anything rational they do the exact opposite of what a normal person would do in their place. Like in all Persbrandt movies (Beck, Sista Kontraktet among others) he is a screaming and strange social misfit. If a movie's greatness were dependent on the amount of shouting this movie would get a 8 maybe a 9 but since that isn't the case I give it a 2.
Per Rosenberg This film was very very good!Mikael Persbrandt's acting in this film was brilliant, so was the acting by Stefan Sauk also. Persbrandt's portray of a psycopat is one of the best I have ever seen. The film was cool shooted and very suspenseful. I can't understand that this film's user rate was 4,9... But maybe you gotta like psycological movies to like this one, anyway, I give it 8,2 out of 10. See it right now!
