The story follows the Infidelz MC's former President, Patch Kinkade, who has left his personal demons behind for the calm of desert life. Reviews
Matrixiole Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
Lollivan It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Fulke Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
daviddaveinternational Not since "Running Cool" has there been such a great "biker" flick! I like the way the club members correct the press and cops when they're called a "biker 'gang'." One Percenter clubs are just that, "clubs". "Gangs" are a bunch of punks on a street corner robbing granny ladies for their social security checks. This is a "must own" movie. I ordered mine and had it in 2 days, some sort of record! The DVD includes another disc on "the making" of the movie which I haven't watched yet. It's said it was shot in 24 days which has to be some sort of record considering it's top notch in quality. The acting by the 81's has come a long way since Hells Angels 69, that's for sure! Watch for HA 69 playing on someone's television, another cameo by Sonny. Oh, one question: "Who was the old fart sitting by himself on the bar stool nursing a beer?" Just wish old Tiny, Magoo, Terry the Tramp and others were still alive to have been included in the flick. They're all "Angels in the Sky" looking down on us all today. Update: 11/18/16: I've read some scathing reviews of this movie and read over and over "bad acting". These are real bikers. They're not "acting" at all! The Victory motorcycle instead of Harley? What's the difference? Club requirements state: "American-made motorcycles (over 1200 cc's) There's no mention of make requirement(s). Anyway, those "haters" need to lighten up. You want a bad biker movie? Try Satan's Sadist and that crap. Heartbeats is as authentic as it can get. Any more authentic and it would have had to been rated X. I've been riding since 1965 so you critics, shut the Hell up! You should have known.
Marilyn Beard It was great to see a majority of the MCs featured in the film were authentic and from the state of Arizona - a successful novel and movie.. Beautiful Bikes and a great movie.. A must see.. Jeff Santo, is a phenomenal filmmaker...actor Jeff Black as Patch Kinkade, really has a hand on the roll of Patch Kinkade..The Infidelz were played by actual Hells Angels members which really helps bring the movie to life..Dead in 5 Heartbeats delivers a knockout punch to the genre with a far more interesting look at motorcycle clubs than Sons of Anarchy or anything else similar..Very well shot and produced. Really good camera. Very good acting. Well done. Perfect score. I personally think this was a great movie.
pingi40 This is an excellent movie about what it is really like in the life of a 1% life style. It shows what a true brotherhood and mutual respect for others that it really is.People on the "outside" see the patch on a brother and assume what an awful scary person this must be cause of what they read and presume what a 1% truly is. Reminds me of when I served with the best fighting force this country has produced as a member of The united states marine corps.Prior to enlisting I was told by those who thought they were in the "know" how much of a mistake I was making by joining and that I should go a different route.Turns out this is one of the best experiences I've had in my life. That kinda brotherhood there is the same that exists among the 1% crowd. Why Patch says: Treat me right and I'll treat you better.Treat me bad and I'll treat you worse.... This is how it should be. This is an awesome movie and should be watched by all.
Karl Eisentraut Best movie I ever saw in my life. This is from the real deal. This raw and unrefined because it's a no bull look into the life. I'ts real guys doing real stuff. This ain't the fairy tale you're probably used to.It ain't some big budget hype with big names and big sets and the cream of Hollywood. This real bikers Written by the original, the Man the Legend Sonny Barger, and the actors are the real deal. It's as close as most people will ever get to the life. It's as close as most dare to get. It's not for everyone,it's just for those who can handle and want to see real people who lived it before they made the movie. If you want to get the story straight from the horses mouth then you come to the right place. If you're happy with the normal big studio fodder ya might not like it.I guess it depends on that.Just like me I ain't a real movie critic I'm a real guy who's Just glad there's a few other real guys around.
