Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night Trailers

The blood flows and the fur flies in Coons! Night of the Bandits of the Night from director Travis Irvine and Overbite Productions! In this hilarious horror spoof, a group of wild college kids arrive at Raccoon Creek Campgrounds with hopes for a summer full of good times, ample booze and hot pre-marital sex! But a pack of hungry raccoons, no longer content to scavenge through the garbage for their food, arrive to put a stop to the debauchery with their vicious dispositions and ravenous appetite for human flesh! As the bodies pile up, only two young lovers, with the help of a crusty hippie hermit and a bumbling park ranger, can stand up to the murderous masked menace and save the summer for drunken teenagers everywhere!

Reviews
VeteranLight I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
Noutions Good movie, but best of all time? Hardly . . .
Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
whammy666 This was some funny stuff. I watched it last night, and it is a hilarious horror spoof. It follows a group of dumb kids as they want to party, but rabid raccoons are killing them off! The raccoons look fake, although they are real, frozen raccoons I think I heard, but you can tell that they are not living. There is also a completely random music number, which is really, really funny. The special effects aren't great, but it adds to the humor, and the acting is awful, but again, it adds to the humor. A lot of college students dress up as old men by putting on Halloween wigs and bad mustaches. This movie is not for everyone, but if you want a so-bad-it's-good movie, this is a pretty good one. One of Troma's best newer releases!
farter_boy The "filmmakers" have produced an awful film, but that's precisely the point. The high school actors seem to be winking at us,as if to say, "Yes, me in bad movie, and me proud of it."This is a comedy in the tradition of "Date Move," "Epic Movie," and "Sleepover." Unfortunately, the director, Travis Irvine, fails to understand that true comedy works when it is taken seriously. That's why classic spoofs like "Airplane!" and "Cannibal! The Musical" work: because the actors act as if they are in a serious drama."Coons" was featured at the 2006 TromaDance. It was the worst film of the night. Perhaps the cast and crew had set low standards for themselves. One would guess, by the obvious lack of production value, that the only goal Irvine and his team had in mind was "Let's make a horrible movie!"They certainly have succeeded. "Coons" is unfunny, and not only that, it lacks skill and professionalism. Even terrible comedies like "Epic Movie" at least aim for quality in cinematography and acting. Take for instance the poor casting. Rather than casting professional, talented comedians, Irvine cast young men who look like high school students, dressed them up in wigs and costumes, and then made them recite raccoon jokes. It looks like the worst high school play you've ever seen. But again, that was the point. "Coons" fails as a comedy but succeeds as one of the worst independent "films" ever produced. I'm sure Travis Irvine and his crew are out there somewhere, smiling as they read this, convinced that they have made the best bad film ever. Yes, indeed, they have.
RebelBreeze Loved every minute of this totally dumb movie!! Very much in the same vein as Reno911 !!....Loved the gay park ranger!! While the movie was a typical same budget, indie type film it should have a huge following amongst younger crowds of people! If you just want a laugh and are not looking for a deeper meaning to life, then this will satisfy! The premise is alittle hookie, but they film remains true to its basic storyline throughout! The actors were easy to understand and the emotions were hysterical! All filmmakers have to start somewhere and I think this should prove an excellent starting point for this young filmmaker! At least I hope so!Hope the same cast returns for the sequel!
Big H I must admit this is the first 'amateur' film I have seen but it is anything but. Absolutely brilliant, the film flew past and I enjoyed every minute of it. The one thing about this production is the little details, all of the extras they included to beef up the script which made it so much funnier - and some of the 'inappropriate' jokes were brilliant, had me laughing through out I am genuine impressed and can't wait for their next production! I am sure they have a good career ahead of them. An earlier comment mentioned the originators of South Park and I know it's a real cliché but I do agree totally and understand where they're coming from.Keep up the good work!
