KnotStronger This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
Marva It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,
Scarlet The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
MattyGibbs Cole is the story of young man looking to break out of a small town and make a better life for himself. It's a familiar story that has been done many times before however it is well filmed and manages to hold your interest throughout. This is in no small way down to a strong performance from the likable Richard De Klerk who carries the film. It's a clash of cultures as the poor boy and the rich girl overcome the inevitable problems a difference in social status brings. It is fairly predictable in that the usual clichés are here drunken rednecks, over protective parents etc but the acting performances are strong enough to get over this issue. Although it plays as a long episode of a soap, Cole has enough drama to make it a really enjoyable film. Well worth a watch.
darkchaoschao This is a movie about a guy named Cole who is needed by everyone around him basically. His mother has a disease, he needs to look after her. His sister needs him to be working at the gas station, and his sisters boyfriend is abusive towards Cole's nephew (his Sisters kid who she had with another man), so Cole has to look out for that kid.Cole wants to go to college which is a 3 hour drive away, and so he does even with all that's holding him back. He meets a girl there... but throughout this whole movie, Cole has a lot of problems he goes through.I watched this movie about two weeks ago, and I really enjoyed it. Cole had a lot of stuff to overcome... This movie is semi-romantic, but it's a lot more drama. The Netflix description said it was about "a boy who inter-racially dates and the parents don't approve" or something like that, but that was hardly the issue Cole was facing.Anyway, I would recommend this move to anyone who enjoys Drama films, it's a great one.
