Excellent, a Must See

It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.

if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.

Two guys chase women in bars. Scooter (Nathan Anderson also screen writer) is the "ugly one" who tries too hard with bad lines. Brad (Brian Patrick Murphy) is the quiet good looking one the women want, although what he wants is a relationship. When Brad meets Rachel (Maitland McConnell) at a club, he wants her, but she has a boyfriend. Wanting to get close to her he adopts Scooter's gay idea as the group venture out on a camping trip. The scenes were not overly crude, yet again they were not overly funny. Okay as a rental.F-bomb, sex, nudity (Mindy Robinson, Maura Murphy)

Well, I thought it was a fine movie. The premise is two straight guys in a dry spell decide to be gay to get the ladies. Does it work maybe, but do they find themselves in the process? I seen a couple of reviews, and it goes like this, "Awful and Homophobic," or "Not Funny." No THIS WAS HILARIOUS. It takes modern PC culture and Social Justice and laughs in their face. 90's comedy is back in this movie, and it does not have to apologize. It does NOT have that much sex and breasts or nudity. It is actually a somewhat of a warm hearted comedy deep down. The leads are very likable and this movie is worth the effort to watch.I give it an 8.5 out of 10. Please do give it a shot, I know I did and I loved it.

A couple of guys, one of whom is incredibly obnoxious, are having problems "hooking up" with women ... surprise, surprise ... but then one notices that "chicks" seem to be drawn to gay men. Guess what devilish scheme that one then hatches ... the title probably is a good hint. The supposedly actual gay men that are the inspiration for the scheme are offensively portrayed as limp-wristed, squealing queens. When the two straight guys decide to pretend to be gay, they carry the offensive stereotypes to a new level. While it might be understandable why the obnoxious guy would be desperate to try anything, the other man doesn't have any problems meeting women, so I'm not sure why he would resort to doing this ... but I must admit I was doing a bit of fast-forwarding hoping to find something remotely amusing, so I may have missed the logic behind that. About 30 minutes into the film I gave up and hit the stop button. What I guess was meant to be funny at the beginning of the movie, aside from the screaming gay characters, involved the obnoxious guy repeatedly getting drunk & getting shot down by numerous women, several people vomiting, one attempt at a three-some that finished with the two main characters hiding under a bed while the woman's husband had sex with her ... and as far as I could tell things weren't likely to get much more "hilarious" than that.Juvenile, crude, offensive, trite and I find it hard to imagine anyone could seriously consider any of it funny.

This was a great little film. Well casted, with a great story and flow. As I sat up all night coding for work it was an excellent break and I will definitely be spreading the word on this one. I can see great things in the future for Mr. Apffel. You did an outstanding job and I look forward to seeing what you put together as time goes on. The grandmother had me laughing my ass off, perfect choice. The entire cast had a great dynamic. it leaves you with the sense that everyone had a lot of fun shooting the pic. So I gave it a 10. It was an original idea, a funny and entertaining idea which covered every possible point on the spectrum from hilarious crude humor to heart touching moments. Scooter and Lizzy at dinner was one of the funnest few seconds I have seen in a long time. Excellent work guys/An American in Budapest
