I was impressed overall by this thought-provoking and varied Polish film. Even though the three brothers approach the harsh realities of Polish society in different ways, they all see their life start to fall apart and try desperately to do something about it. The main female role, Mania, is also a very defiant and believable character, as are many of the lesser characters. This film certainly has a sort of anarchist perspective and shows Poland as a very beautiful, yet cruel country as it is integrated economically (but unequally) into the European economy.I believe that it was filmed using digital cameras, occasionally rough and close-up during tense or violent scenes, but the acting is excellent and the whole effort never seems amateurish. The soundtrack also had a lot of Polish hardcore-punk and hip-hop music.
