Linda Blair plays Carol, a young woman who must serve 18 months in prison after driving drunk and killing a man. The prison turns out to be brimming with decadence, corruption and sleaze, where the other female inmates are sadistic crack-selling lesbian rapists and the guards and warden are no better.

Janae Milner Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
Uriah43 "Carol Henderson" (Linda Blair) is a young woman who has just been sentenced to 18 months in a very harsh prison on the charge of vehicular manslaughter. When she gets there she is totally unprepared for what awaits her as "Warden Bacman" (John Vernon) is not only corrupt--but due to one of his subordinates named "Captain Taylor" (Stella Stevens)--he is incapable of exercising even the slightest control over some of the more reprehensible situations that develop within the prison. As a result the women are often beaten, sexually abused and sometimes even murdered. And because she is new Carol soon finds herself in the center of it all. Now rather than reveal any more about the story and risk spoiling it for those who haven't seen it I will just say that this was an average "Women-in-Prison" (WIP) movie which certainly had the potential to be much better. Although the cast was pretty good the story itself seemed to jump too quickly from one scenario to another without the necessary development to back them up. Additionally, some of the scenes were simply too unrealistic which caused the film to lose its credibility. On the other hand, this film certainly had its share of eye-candy with Sharon Hughes (as "Val") and Monique Gabrielle ("Debbie") being my personal favorites. Again though, had some of the scenes been more plausible, in addition to having a more thorough setup between them, it could have been a much better movie. As it is, I have to give it a rating of only average.
videorama-759-859391 CH is a guilty pleasure of camp this is as addictive as Krispy Kreme donuts. It's highly unlikely you've ever been in a prison like this one. This is a film that set a new tradition of prison films where the facilities are infested with corruption by it's staff. Vernon, who did a score of films with Blair, plays the corrupt warden who lives in the prison. His den is one of sex and rape, and he has a video camera to prove it, as well a Jacuzzi, where he makes his pics while having sex with the drug addicted inmates, one tasty scene near the start involving a young blabbermouth phillie who sorrily gets her just desserts. Racial confrontations, lesbianism, violence, murder, this film has it, not even a bad script, either. But deep down we know, this is very far from Oscar status. I liked Henry Silva, who plays a real sleaze, who works with the governor (a really good Stella Stevens). He sneaks the girls out for partying and entertaining dirty old men. I liked how all the prisoners, all came together near the end, compared to all the animus they shared earlier, where finally, after many ugly incidents, they decide to turn things around. These films are so stereotypical of Blair too, who uses a couple of the same lines, she uses in other movies. CH is a guilty pleasure of sleaze, one of the most entertaining flicks of this kind (and there's many others floating around, believe me.
callanvass (Credit, IMDb) Linda Blair plays Carol, a young woman who must serve 18 months in prison after killing a man (by accident). The prison turns out to be brimming with decadence, corruption and sleaze, where the other female inmates are sadistic crack-selling lesbian rapists and the guards and warden are no better. Racial tensions are high as the inmates is divided into two factions, blacks and whites, who must either join together against the management or kill each other trying.I love exploitation movies, as long as they are entertaining. This one could cure someone's insomnia with how boring it is. Not only is it extremely sleazy, but so boring, it's hard to pay attention at times. There is rape, prison corruption, laughable dialog, stereotyping, racism, plenty of cursing, among other things. But they forget to add entertainment, excitement, suspense, etc. Linda Blair looks like she doesn't wanna be there. According to IMDb trivia, the script changed on her, so I can't blame her. John Vernon hams it up like no tomorrow. Overall, avoid it. Even the biggest exploitation fans may have trouble getting into this one1/10
arron_392001 Gave it 8 because of Linda Blair she is one of my all time favorites. It's really is a chick flick women behind bars, this movie was made in 1983 stars the Late John Vernom,Sybil Danning which her role in this was brilliant she played the bad girl, and Stella Stevens as a women's Sergent. The plot Linda Blair killed her boy friend by accident and sentence to 18 months in the womens prison, which is run by John Vernon who rapes, and makes out with some of the girls,so they can get stuff. This is diffidently a 80's movie almost a lesbian movie, when some of the girls get out of prison to go to a party with Linda a prostude party Linda freaks out in a up stairs bedroom. then they went to there dorms, linda goes to the head warden and she gets rape by him, So in the mean time Linda kind of befriends a black chick and her possie, then she had a friend with Val who got killed by a guard after she killed the warden. This movie is action, some what slow, but with a budget probably about 20.000 it would have been better or if the made it now. But,things are different now,so Linda Blair goes commando and gets revenge at the-END. some OF IT'S BAD ACTING LIKE Linda B;LAIR SHE KINDS OF FAKES it. but,the plot of the movie is great,it's not like OZ,but kind of like Savage Streets she goes on the rampage. Linda Blair as robocop or the terminator. It is on DVD and have a lot of specials (i think) John Vernon should have sticked with another role but he did good, and Cybill is a riot, her big tits should have a second screen.
