Reviews
FuzzyTagz If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
Lucia Ayala It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.
kevin-cuello This concert is arguably one of the greatest concerts in Salsa/Merengue history, and absolutely the greatest concert in this era of Salsa. This is a rare opportunity to see "La Reina Del Salsa" (Celia Cruz) and "El Rey Del Timbal" (the king of timbales) Tito Puente. Also featured are Jhonny Pacheco and La India. Pacheco is highly regarded as one of the most important figures in salsa history as he almost single handedly created the genre when he formed the Fania All Stars. And of course La India is one of the most influential singers in modern salsa history. The orquestra put together for the songs played during this concert is masterful. Quite possibly some of the greatest sounds ever preformed live. If you appreciate Salsa, whether historically or just for the pure joy of the music, this CVD is essential.
dphilip I've had this video for a month now and I watch it everyday because it gets you moving and dancing. The reason I like it so much is because of the way Celia Cruz conducts herself Live. She doesn't have a great voice but she is very entertaining. Another reason I got it is because it has Tito Puente, La India, and Pacheco. Three great stars for latin music. So if you are in the mood to dance this is the video is for you.
