A modern version of Charles Dickens work. Gioele is a modern-day Scrooge, who hates Christmas but will end up changing his mind, also thanks to the love of his secretary Bianca.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
