By Those Hands that Lead Me tells the tale of Amora’s (Fernanda Marques) life: An orphan girl, who dreams of being a photographer. At 22, while working in a library with her friend Fran (Bruno Suzano), she goes through the challenges of becoming an independent woman, having to deal with the pain of losing her parents. The feature film debut of Brazilian actor/director João Côrtes, By Those Hands that Lead Me is a nuanced coming-of-age film about love, empowerment and overcoming your fears.
