Dorathen Better Late Then Never
Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) "Bre(a)k!" is a Soviet 10-minute movie from 1985, so this one is also already over 30 years old. The writer and director is the very successful Garri Bardin, who was in his early 40s when he made this one and already a prolific filmmaker. But I cannot share the praise sadly. If you know Bardin, you also know that this is animation, claymation int his very case. It is basically all about a boxing fight and the referee and a bunch of trainers and spectators play a big role too. I personally am not the greatest claymation fan, but I must say this was not the biggest problem here. The biggest problem is that the story simply was not interesting at all and from this perspective 4 stars out of 10 is still fairly generous. I think this is only worth seeing for people who love boxing as well as claymation. Everybody else better skip it or they will probably be as underwhelmed as I was. Not recommended.
