By land, by air, and by sea, viewers can now experience the struggle that millions of creatures endure in the name of migration as wildlife photographers show just how deeply survival instincts have become ingrained into to the animals of planet Earth. From the monarch butterflies that swarm the highlands of Mexico to the birds who navigate by the stars and the millions of red crabs who make the perilous land journey across Christmas Island, this release offers a look at animal instinct in it's purest form.

Reviews
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Derry Herrera Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
eva eden Humans are unaware of the beauty that lies in their own souls. Sometimes, here comes a song, a poem, or a child,... or a movie, that reveals the inner beauty we once had it. So, that is the moment when we humans, suddenly cherries the life: ours and others. There aren't enough songs, or poems, or children, or movies, so, each new one should be saluted. Impressive beauty in images, in music and words. The beauty of a world we are not aware of, the beauty of our souls we are not aware of. The message of this masterpiece is an optimistic one, JJ, the baby whale should be an emblematic symbol of our return, from former hunters to actual friends. JJ is the character that stand for each species, each individual of the multitude that live on this planet. We too are JJ-s for a bear, a butterfly or a crab. A movie like this save us from ignorance. Enjoy the beauty in your souls, and see the movie. The African migratory story is just one of the many.
BigWreck It is quite unfortunate for Epic Journeys: The Great Migrations to have come out in 1999. In the early 90's almost the same production crew filmed the amazing film, Africa The Serengeti. Even though Epic Journey's tries to recapture the same magic of Africa The Serengeti, it misses the mark. A few segments are captivating, but others are festering with boredom. See this film if you are an animal lover of any type, and you will enjoy it, but for a real treat rent a copy of Africa The Serengeti, and wish you had seen it in all it's glory on the giant IMAX Screen.
