Reviews
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
Dynamixor The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Nayan Gough A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
fasifierce Muhammad Asad remains largely obscure from the pages of history, even though he is one of the few scholars that made East meet West. This is the only documentary that traces the path Muhammad Asad trekked, and tries to figure out the spiritual influence under which Asad converted to Islam. It starts from Asad's birth place, Ukraine, where his family is interviewed. The film crew then travels to Austria to witness the naming of a square, located in front of the UN building, in honor of this esteemed scholar. The next stop is the deserted area of Jerusalem, followed by interviews and meetings in Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, United States, Morocco and Spain. Full marks to the producers and directors. Kudos to the music producers for this touching background music.
