Dreadfully Boring

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

Skip this one with no regrets. The simple boy-girl story and the acting could work if it were not for a fatal flaw. The Italian male lead is supposed to have resided in Mexico for a year. Yet, he does not speak a word of the local language. Would you believe this of a young, intelligent Italian photographer living and working in Mexico? I could not. Watching Irán Castillo and Lorenzo Balducci (as well as almost everyone else in the film) talking to each other in English just made no sense. This is probably due to the last minute casting of the Italian actor. I hope a better luck for first time director Erika Grediaga in her next movie. This one did not make it.
