Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.

I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

After the Greek-Italian war, Kyriakos Platanias returns to his village, Little Elm, with many decorations and with amputated legs. His father Tryphon was always proud of his son can not stand this situation and takes refuge in booze. Soon, Little Elm occupied by the Germans led by Willy Knut, who treats the villagers as his servants. But the new slavery not tolerate Tryphon and is determined after the son Kyriakos murdered by Willy Knut, revenge and rebelled together with the villagers against the invaders. Although it does have some powerful moments and some good acting from Vera Krouska, Hristos Politis, Giannis Katranis and Fernando Sancho the rest of the film is a mess with an awful performance by Lakis Komninos and moments that make no sense for example a beer contest and even a scene where the Germans start singing and it felt out of place and it's not the best from that time it also has one of the worst endings i have ever seen in my life with Tryphon screaming Kyriako 3 or 4 times and the German gets dragged by the horse threw the streets or even the fact that another German gets shot and makes a hilarious face 28i Oktovriou, ora 5,30 (1975) is truly one of the worst Greek war movies of all time.

A very good movie about a German officer and his group of soldiers that invade a small greek village - during WWII - and the resistance of the villagers. The correct title of the movie is "28 Oktovriou, ora 5:30" which means October 28th time 5:30
