Spidersecu Don't Believe the Hype
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Philippa All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Janis One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Keegan Gess Michael Haneke is one of the best film-makers working today and he really deserves a great documentary on him. Which really shouldn't be difficult, he's an incredibly smart guy who clearly knows a lot about what he does. However, '24 Realities per Second' really isn't even a documentary. It's just people with a camera following him around, recording him doing generic interviews and just generally pestering him and that's it. If you're going to do a documentary it helps if you have an actual premise. You cannot just film someone walking around and then say "It's a documentary". I would have preferred if they actually asked him goddamn questions and maybe they could have interviewed other cast members about Haneke and their experiences working with him too? This is a pretty amateur piece, watch it for Haneke but you're not missing anything if you skip it.
